Children’s week 2024 has started!
Every year, in the first full week of October, Children’s Week is celebrated, which begins with International Children’s Day. We started our Children’s Week playfully, joyfully and dancing!
Through music and movement games, writing messages of peace and making peace blankets, we commemorated Today’s Children’s Public Assemblies in Lovran and Opatija.
The Mayor of Lovran Municipality, Bojan Simonič, and the Deputy Mayor of the City of Opatija, Kristina Đukić, were with us.
Children’s week is a time to emphasize the importance of promoting children’s rights and intensifying actions and activities dedicated to children.
The motto of the Children’s Week is “Love for children above all else!”.
The goals of Children’s Week include directing the public’s attention to the exercise of rights, needs and activities with and for children, carrying out special and appropriately selected games, performances and creative activities by children and for children, encouraging volunteer work by adults with children, as well as active participation of children in activities local communities.
