For many years, the Society “Our Children” Opatija has been continuously implementing programs, actions and activities for preschool and school age children in their free time through informal education of children through creative activities, activities contributing to the community through social services and creative community interventions.
A new project of the Society “Our Children” Opatija with the support of the Ministry of Demography and Immigration in partnership with the City of Opatija, the Municipality of Lovran and the Municipality of Mošćenička Draga.
Storytelling encourages children to think about the world around them, helps them learn numbers and letters, encourages the development of social and cognitive skills, enables them to socialize with each other, and encourages children to develop their imagination.
Traveling art and creative program and Storytelling program intended for children of preschool and school age. Adult accompaniment is desirable for younger children.
Activities are intended for children of preschool and school age, and are held every working day from 06.30 am to 04.30 pm. In the morning, children go to the beach (Lipovica and Tomaševac), and in the afternoon they participate in various creative workshops.
Do you need help learning, mastering materials or reading? We have organized help for you in learning through play (individual or group work)!
The program of workshops with parents “Growing up together” is intended for parents of the preschool aged children. The purpose of the program is to enable the flow of information, knowledge, skills and support that parents use in fulfilling their parental responsibilities and promote personal growth and development of parent and child competencies.
SOC Opatija has a workshop and playroom for developmental support for children “Hummingbirds” for children with disabilities under the expert guidance of a rehabilitator.
Workshops for children (small groups to improve social skills, concentration, self-confidence, learning skills), individual work with children, work with parents (individually and in groups).
Celebrating dates important for children’s lives: International Children’s Day, Europe Day, Children’s Week, International Girls’ Day, etc. through play, learning and fun!
We invite children of preschool and school age to spend time together with their family members within the program “SOC FAMILY DAY”.
